This Oatmeal Stout is dark brown to almost black in color with a rich cream colored head. It has a pleasant, full-bodied, smooth profile with an aromatic blend of coffee, oats, and roasted malts. Savor the long, rich finish that tempts you with just a subtle hint of dark chocolate. This oatmeal stout is something great to behold, enjoy!

Black brown pour very big head. Aroma of dark caramel, wood, leather, creme. Oatmeal flavor slight sour wheat. Watery palate sorta flat.

Black pour under a thin khaki foam head. Roasty nose with a dark semi bitter cocoa tone. Big taste with earthy bitter dark cocoa and roast and earthy sweetness. Big and full with a nice chocolate subtleness that doesn’t skip on the roast note. Finishes a bit too roasty but otherwise lovely.

Draft at their brewpub. Smooth body, good brown head. Dry espresso note on sweet body. Smooth oatmeal, good beer.

Bought a 22 and poured into a stein, that was all my parents had at their house. Guess I better get them a set of glassware for Christmas. A - Beautiful, rich, black color with a less than impressive brown head. Although, it did leave great color in the lace as I drank my way thru it. S - Sort of typical stout aroma but I picked up on the alcohol. I didn’t get as much oatmeal as I expected. T - I really enjoyed the roasty flavor. It was a bit more bitter than other stouts I’ve tasted recently but it was by no means a turn off. Dark chocolate flavor was present on my palate. M - Lower carb, smooth viscosity, Overall, a pretty decent oatmeal stout. I’m not an oatmeal stout connessiour but I think it would please most looking to enjoy one over the cold holidays. I would purchase again.

650ml bottle. Black/brown with big, foamy off-white head. Chocolate, milk, sugared oatmeal, light-roast coffee, toast. Strong sweetness touched off with a slightly acrid, acidic quality that hits the sides of your mouth. A decent beer that I, unfortunately, tried right after drinking Alameda’s Black Bear XX stout. American’s stout offering suffers by comparison.

Bottle from Tacoma Boys... Poured dense, black with a moderate, tan head. Lots of roast on this one. Some mealy characters but it didn’t smooth out ad I would hope the oatmeal would do. Dark chocolate, bitter roasted coffee, and mild fruits from some yeast tones.

(22oz bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors. Pours an outstanding head atop a black body. Nose of roasted malt and tonic. Highly carbonated and overly bitter, somewhat burnt. Pretty average.

Bottle from QFC in North Bend. Pours thick and black with a nice mocha head. Smells dry of coffee and a hint of bitter chocolate. Tastes surprisingly thin, acidic (coffee and maybe some chili) ending with a very earthy almost dirty flavor (akin to chipotle)
