Opaque brown-black with a small light brown head. Roasty and char malt aroma with high medicinal notes. Roast malt flavor dominates, with some earthen tones and a muted chalky chocolate. Lingering roasty bitterness in the finish with returning ashen component. Medium mouthfeel with some oat silkiness.

Draft at the brewery. Dark brown, bubbly head, sweet, rich molasses, lots of bitterness but a pile of malt as well. Sticky, touch of alcohol in the finish.

Pours a deep brown color with an oatmeal and malt aroma. Taste is slight chocolate mixed with oatmeal. Rather thin, any and all flavors quickly dissipate and disappear. Surprisingly aluminum flavor after the swallow.

Completely dark with a thick brown foam. Aromas of bitter chocolate. Thick and smooth mouthfeel with coffee bitterness, vanilla, and espresso flavor. A significant stout to be sure.

Tap at Craft Cafe Imazato. Smooth aroma, a mix of dark and milk chocolate. Pitch black, thin creamy tan head and good lacing. Rich roasty initial, with deceptive hopping, smooth in mid and final with the oatmeal, and nice long hop tracks. Medium heavy body. Seriously good.

Tap at Imazato. Lovely black with a nice brown rocky head. Rich chocolate nose, coffee, cream, some soy sauce later. A bit of mineral in the flavor, roasty, caramel, rich and full, very smooth ending in hop bitterness. Nice stout.

Black brown pour very big head. Aroma of dark caramel, wood, leather, creme. Oatmeal flavor slight sour wheat. Watery palate sorta flat.

Black pour under a thin khaki foam head. Roasty nose with a dark semi bitter cocoa tone. Big taste with earthy bitter dark cocoa and roast and earthy sweetness. Big and full with a nice chocolate subtleness that doesnít skip on the roast note. Finishes a bit too roasty but otherwise lovely.

Bought a 22 and poured into a stein, that was all my parents had at their house. Guess I better get them a set of glassware for Christmas. A - Beautiful, rich, black color with a less than impressive brown head. Although, it did leave great color in the lace as I drank my way thru it. S - Sort of typical stout aroma but I picked up on the alcohol. I didnít get as much oatmeal as I expected. T - I really enjoyed the roasty flavor. It was a bit more bitter than other stouts Iíve tasted recently but it was by no means a turn off. Dark chocolate flavor was present on my palate. M - Lower carb, smooth viscosity, Overall, a pretty decent oatmeal stout. Iím not an oatmeal stout connessiour but I think it would please most looking to enjoy one over the cold holidays. I would purchase again.
