Deep, dark pour with a very clingy last two finger head.
Nose of caramel, toffee, and baker’s chocolate.
Taste is similar with intensifying richness from the cacao nibs, and there’s an ubderpinning of chili-like heat (very subtle) that dries out the finish just enough for balance.
I think this stands up to Southern Tier Choklat fairly well, and I’d love to try this one again.

On tap @ Burgundian. Listed here as 8.8%. Pours thick inky dark brown with medium dark mocha head. Aroma is medium sweet roasty malt, fresh coffee, and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth lightly roasted chocolate malt, plenty of hops keeping the sweetness in check, light coffee and milk chocolate on the finish. Incredibly thick mouthfeel, heavy rich body. Tasty beer, finishes a bit too bitter for the style.

Draft at Fred’s. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head that lasts to the end of the glass. Big dark baking chocolate nose. Creamy thick dense body. Soft carb. Very rich and convincing mid palate of malt sugar, baking chocolate, and cocoa nibs. Long sweet delicious milk chocolatey finish. Very nice sweet impy.
