3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from a Safeway in Lynwood, WA. Pours golden amber with a very slight head. I can’t parse the aroma. Dusty fruit? Med body. Flavor is something like dusty stone fruit. It’s bitter, and maybe the hop includes citrus. Certainly drinkable. Really gets bitter in the long haul, and that’s a good thing.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a bomber into a beer can glass on 06.30.14.
A: Lemon, citrus, maybe caramel. Subdued hops like older style APAs.
A: 3 finger head. See through caramel/amber body. The head stays. Nice lacing.
T: Lemon, citrus, and sour acid dominate. Grass, grain, and a chemical finish are subtle.
P: Crisp. A bit watery.
O: This seemed to be more of a balanced APA than hop forward at first. A creeping sour acidic flavor then overwhelmed everything else throughout the whole experience. It lingered for a long time, so this was a drain pour. Maybe it was infected? Greg from gregsbeerreviews had a video about a similar experience with this brewer. Aside from possible infection or QC problems, grain was not a great flavor in an APA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
As far as American goes, this one is a keeper. Very straightforward APA with enough malt, hop, and bitterness to keep a snob like me happy.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours from 12 oz can medium coppery hue, nice craggley head of foam. Aroma caramel malts, earth, field grass with bready dank. Flavour lightly bitter floral citrus hop taste, herbal and grassy, perfectly balanced with light pale malts with a little sweetness. Malt seems to dominate, not too terribly bad APA.

Taste: lightly bitter and nutty initial flavor and finish with average duration.
Palate: medium body, watery texture, and lively carbonation.
Overall: great aroma, pretty good flavor (not overly bitter).

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
For the style, very beguiling, and one of the better ones. Quite complex -- solid malt backbone, but there’s some sort of slight sweetness -- fruity? citrusy? -- mixing in there, too. Hops of course are there, in balance, and ends with a satisfying slight bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Medium golden pour, slightly cloudy, substantial lasting head with good lacing. Aroma is mild malt and hop with minor citrus notes. Flavor is a nice balance of malt and hops, with a surprising level of resinous taste. Finish is fairly bitter for a pale ale, and it lingers quite a while. Overall, pretty refreshing pale and the pushes into IPA territory. Solid.
