2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom. Clear bronze with beige head. Aroma of toast, caramel, and prune. Weak smell but not bad. Dry, tangy, cracker taste. Dry, continental European hops. Almost savory, bready aftertaste. Crisp, lager-like palate effects, which are welcome. Lively and frothy in the palate. At first I would have called it decent but boring. But a gross, vomity fruitiness, common to all four of the American Sky beers I sampled in my flight, ultimately emerged. This is a poorly made beer, and I am probably being excessively generous in my rating.

On tap @ the brewery in Hudson. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a light brown head. Grapefruit citrusy, light caramel, toasty aroma. Somewhat floral, kind of bready yeasty, potpourri, herbal bitter flavor. Bleh.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark amber with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee with a decent hint of citrus. Taste is all malt. Caramel and toffee with a hint of skunk. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation but a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing super special but enjoyable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Skyview, thanks! Amber with a medium off-white skyline. Aroma is a touch weird with toasted malt, floral hops and some soap and skunk. Taste is slightly sour with caramel, mild fruit and toasted malt. Sudsy and forgettable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Unfiltered glowing orange-red body. Thin, steady, oily whtie head. Sweet amber malt all the way. Cherry vanilla. A pretty decent Amber, does the style pretty well. Not much real hop character to speak of, maybe some mild Fuggles or something in the background. A touch undercarbonated. OK, average malt forward Amber.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI. Pours a semi-clear copper brown colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin white film top. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrus and light grassy hops, a touch of dark fruit skin and light toffee. Taste is medium bodied, some toasted softer carbonation than their regular Tailgunner Gold with flavors of toasted Munich and caramel malts, a touch of apple skin, light brown sugar and toffee. Finish has a mild dry biscuity and caramel malt aftertaste followed by a short lived spice hop bite.

Bottle. Murky amber pour with a small foamy white head. Malt bomb right off the bat. Slightly dusty and herbal as well. Not bad.
