Headbanger (1001), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft at Brewery(4/25/08)-A slightly hazy golden body with an aroma of grain and cheap beer. Flavor of light malt and hops on this light to medium bodied brew. A nice tasting beer but mild for an amber.
JPDIPSO (4286), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 10, 2008 Shocked slightly by the pour, an amber that is actually amber, well light amber to golden in color anyway. Moderate slightly creamy, off egg shell colored head. Mild caramel and mild dried herbs and flower aromas. Fairly thin and slightly watery feel. Lightly toasted malt and dry herbal hops flavors. Has a stomach settling quality when it comes to the herbal thing. Linger reminds me of goldenrod and dry weeds on a warm fall day. I have had much worse amber. GAManiac (352), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours surprisingly light for an amber ale, a hazy golden with only a hint of amber in it. There is a very small white head that hangs around for a little while with a bit of lacing. Roasted malts dominate the nose with hints of hops and a very strong grain profile as well. The taste is also big on roasted malts and grain with the hops making an appearance in the finish. The mouthfeel is very dry and crisp with lots of carbonation. This is an interesting take on an amber ale and fairly enjoyable. drewbeerme (1844), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle. pours hazed amber with white head. sweet doughy malt aroma. citrus and earthy notes. doughy witha slight roast and chocolate in the finish. decent brew but reminds me a lot of Bells Amber. hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 12oz bottle.
