AOF (264), Naperville, Illinois, USA Sep 1, 2007 Hazy orange in color, thin off white head. Nose is crisp with lots of citrus, banana and spice. Medium bodied and well carbonated. A very good drink. Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2006 They lemon wedged this afore I could stop ’em, so I discarded it and drank from t’other side of the glass. The head was kind of small for style, but the hazy straw body looked just right. Nice aroma of banana, bubblegum, and a touch of clove. The banana carries the flavor along with a gentle wheat taste and just a slight citric (my girlfriend said apricot) tartness. Clove returns for the finish. A great beer for this hot time of the bear.

StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2005 Mostly hazy and glowing sun orange in color with a thin creamy head. Aroma is right on - ripe bananas, bountiful cloves and spicy pepper. Holy acidity, and it all the predicators come tumbling to the ground. Lemon-lime sugar qualities with a disdaining souring sting. Citric absurdities are way too distracting. Lacks carbonation. Sour lemon finish. Terrible. gws57 (951), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 29, 2005 Had this one on draught in Aurora, Illinois. Opaque light yellow color, thick white head, nose of orange and cloves, tastes of fruit, certainly lemon and other citrus. Otherwise, pretty bland. frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 6, 2005 Updated: Jun 7, 2005Yes... the first one was served with a wedge without requesting it. Ugh. Looked beautiful, though... thick and murky, wheat-colored, unfiltered goodness. Dry and yeasty aromas with a healthy dose of bananas and esters. Sweet and sour flavors alternated in front of a dry, wheat background. A sour, heady finish whispered "dubbel".
