"You don’t want that wedge," said braumeister Mike as he observed me sitting at the bar with my freshly served brew, thus illustrating the gap between brewpub owner and brewpub brewer. Chucking the lemon slice into my ice water, I looked at a caramel colored ale with a thick & creamy off-white head. The aroma was of overly ripe bananas, clove, and a soft blending of wheat & barley malts. Light in the mouth, the old banana dominated the flavor, smoothly blended with a light spiciness. Very refreshing at the end of a warm seaon.
