sampled at the brewpub. amber in color. Aroma is malty and lightly grainy. Taste is caramel malts, with light notes of musty grains and although smooth for the most part, a touch of light tartness. not a bad beer, but thought it could be a bit fuller in body and a bit smoother.

Orange amber ale with no head. Light sweet fruity malt, with notes of pears. Sweet caramel taste, with light treacle candy notes, no alcohol warmth noted. Good but more like a Vienna. On tap Feb.10, 2006.

Hazy ruddy orange amber. Small whitish lace. Nice bock flavor. Dark fruit, sweet bready malts, medium to full body, finishing with a slight alcoholic note. Not the best doppel ive had, but a nice american interpretation.

On tap at the Amherst Brewing Company. No head at all over a dark orangy color. Nice orangy, malty flavor. The stronger alcohol was apparant in the warmth I felt while drinking it. Good stuff!
