Amber, full-bodied lager made in the traditional style with German hops. Brewed in early August and put on tap with a keg of the previous years batch by October of each year. Pours a copper orange and autumnal leaf, with a white head. The aroma is interestingly enough a little bit of feet and malt. The flavor is rich, but not overly sweet and the palate is rather creamy. Slight mettalic taste

8 oz draught glass at the brewpub. Light amber-gold, mostly clear, thin ring of head, a bit oily....nose is muted caramel malts, some dry grassy/herbal notes come through with a bit of warmth but there’s never a lot there....on the tongue surprisingly rich malty flavor profile, with fresh toasty grains, like really fresh whole-grain bread, full-bodied and just sweet enough, low carbonation, finishing with just a light acrid smoky edge. Pretty solid overall.

Poured an orange-brown color with an ok initial head and decent lacing. The aroma was toasted malts, some breadiness. A mustiness opened up the flavor with bready malts then coming through, followed by a closing light toastiness. The mouthfeel was moderate, a little stronger than that within style. A nice OFest beer.

Draught @ CT River Brewfest: This one pours a clear, somewhat orangish color. there was not a lot of head on it at all. The aroma was a bit thin and weak, although not unpleasant. There were some notes of spices and caramel malt sweetness. The taste was along the same lines. Definitely a lighter bodied Marzen. Just OK.

Gold color with a small head. Aroma is both grains and caramel. Taste is sweet and earthy with some vanilla. Tastes a bit like cream soda. Body is smooth and sweet.

Mild, soft cookie-dough and subtle toasted malt aroma with some light flowery hops. Clear, light-copper coloured with thin, white, fully-diminishing head. Sweet and malty with some toasted notes and a gentle balancing bitterness. Pleasant, lasting toasty finish. Body is a bit on the thin side. Very drinkable. On tap at the brewpub with MartinT and Rastacouere.

Light oranges mix with malty sweetness...Feeble hop bitterness and non-distinct malts make for a boring quencher...These guys are able to do much better...

Clear orangey-yellow. No head. Looks a bit sad that way. Lightly florwery aroma, gentle cookie-ish malt, just not very aromatic. Somehow caramelic in mouth, very light. Hoppy and spicy bittering out finish, light tartness. Alright, but not their best from my point of view.

Orange amber hue. Pale biscuity malts and floral hops in the nose. Small whitish head. Starts with subdued malts, somewhat sweet, medium bodied, fairly hopped up ending, long lingering bitter finish. Not bad, a bit different from a traditional oktoberfest, but drinkable no doubt.
