Vac (2232), San Diego, California, USA Feb 3, 2003 Updated: Oct 1, 2003Deep amber brown color with a medium thick head and good lace. Slightly sweet malty aroma with a slight nuttiness. Slightly sweet and slightly smokey malt flavor with a good hop balance. Smooth and medium bodied. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Aug 7, 2005 On tap at GBBF 05. Nice Brown Ale - good for the style! Nutty, light Bournville choc. Palatable, fizzy, smooth and balanced. Drinkable session fare. Hopistotle420 (1177), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Aug 28, 2003 Ive been waiting for a while to rate this when they put it on cask. So finally they did. Sweet, mild brown. Nutty nose, floral hops. Sweet palate, medium bodied, terribly smooth, very drinkable, light caramel, roasted nuttiness, with herbal bittering hops, producing a very balanced drikable brown. Nice! ToadMan (552), Alexandria, Virginia, USA Mar 6, 2002 A smooth, silky ale. Nice roasted flavor, didnt leave much on the palate, but overall a good beer.
