Sammy (3141), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 15, 2007 An amber ale. Lots of lace, light grapefruit flavour, very hoppy. The lineup is inconsistent and this was average, probably around a bit too long. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jan 10, 2007 Draught pint at the brewpub. Wow, another anniversary amber ale! Cool, I wonder if it will be as lovely as Bells? Mmmm, could be...not! Pours a dark hazy, nearly opaque dirty amber-brown with little head to begin with and weak retention....big citric hoppy nose, pretty fresh but awfully simple and one-dimensional, and it doesn’t last, seems to break down into something very faint and indefinable shortly....lightly syrupy, hoppy throughout, fairly dry with very little sweetness at any point, a bit cardboardy and dull to finish....boring as hell.
