Glouglouburp (5960) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 25, 2011
In short: An amber ale with a bit of a rye character. Pretty basic but easy to drink.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden brown body topped by a very small beige head
In long: Called “Ryeteous Red” at the pub (it uses rye), I’m entering my rating under the existing name “Righteous Red” but I’m not sure if it is the same beer. Nose has light rye presence. Taste is clean crisp rye bread, light fruity notes, very light spiciness that I associate with rye, very lightly hopped, relatively thin body. Nothing special here, just a basic golden ale using a bit of moderate amount of rye. Not something I would drink all night long. Which probably won’t happen because I can’t picture myself spending a night a this brewpub, this place was deader than a Texas salad bar.

TURDFERGUSON (3945) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 5, 2012
Tap at pub. Reddish orange, no head or lace. Super watery, smells like nothing. Lighty earthy, herbal hops, light red fruit and more water.

Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2004
Dark amber, thinnish. Deeply malty, with a surpisingly crisp spicy hop close. Not earthy enough to be an Irish ale, compared to some midwestern classics, I think, but not boring like many ambers - quite soothing. Session for sure. Tree bark elements, but not pine. Flavors are complex for a 4.6% beer.

MaBeer1972 (1271) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 17, 2003
Light amber ale. Very sweet and flowery aroma. The flavor isn't all that bad, but the malt seems to take a back seat to the hops.

Hopistotle420 (1178) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 22, 2003
Ruby amber hue. Sticky beige-ish head. Sweet, floral, fruit, pefumey nose. Starts sweet, ruby red grapefruit, medium bodied, nicely balanced, grapefruit pine needle finish. Pleasantly bitter, finishing crispo and cleano. HAHA...Not too shabby for a beer from these folks.

BlackDonald (1126) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 4, 2009
Draft - Very typical, I mean this one is seriously not going to set the world on fire for style performance, but sessionable, albeit a bit bland. Caramel toffee maltiness with some bitter citrus hops that seem to be fighting each other for dominance.

ericnixon (738) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 17, 2004
Dark clear color that was, as the commercial description says, "mild". It did have a nice malty flavor but everything about it was mild.

Has a nice amber color and a light floral/hop smell. Taste is malted and finishes with a hop bitterness. Overall ambers are not my thing and neither was this one...

ToadMan (559) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 6, 2002
A bit of a fruity taste, as seemingly all ABC beers have. A some what strange, but nonetheless good berry flavor. A bit of a hoppie aftertaste that was a little too mild to earn more than a three. Overall a very good beer.

LyndaNova (532) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 15, 2007
Cold on tap: Pours a clear dark orange color with a small off-white head. Sweet malts, grass, flowers and smoky notes. Watery texture and smooth with low carbonation. Ending is of sweet malts.
