Crosling (1605), Loveland, Colorado, USA May 9, 2008 Bought at Off License, a great specialty beer shop in Rome. Rich golden color, with a full, creamy head. Very hoppy nose, showing character that can be described as lemony, herbaceous and a bit woodsy. Flavor is very balanced, hop accented, with the lemon, herb, citrus thing continuing. A very solid hoppy ale.
Scauca (213), Lovere, Italy Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. A creamy white lasting head over a medium bodied clear orange hoppy ale. Nose got the right typical features of an I.p.A. with a slight touch of citrusy and a light hint of herbaceous creating a nice whole, with a bit of maltiness too. Starts with some fruitiness leading to a bitter, resinous end with a medium aftertaste. fiulijn (5695), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 2, 2008 Draught at Salone della Birra Artigianale e di Qualitą 2008, Milan With Chinook and Amarillo hops Cloudy golden color; big head. It has a very nice hoppy aroma, not fruity, but with leaves and a lot of resins, delicate. The body is average, less strong than expected, with good caramel and toffee flavor, but getting drier at the end, probably for the strong hop resins, giving a late light astringency too. Very long final of American hops. Im missing some body and malt here, but good hop, almost honeyish. Very pleasant. daniele (640), Italy Feb 26, 2008 bevuta a pianeta birra ambrata buona schiuma nonostante i gradi piuttosto beverina buoni luppoli anche americani non eccessivi
