4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 77ships (957) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 22, 2011
draft@Chez Moeder Lambic: cloudy yellow with creamy white head, grapefruit & pine hop mixed with peaches, citrus + other fruits & yeast, this is all sweet, fruity hop, this is not your typical IPA, whatever this is, I really like it but it is not for everyone, medium bitter & dry finish
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Hirotoma (232) - Bologna, ITALY - MAY 17, 2012
Un’ottima birra che però non mi sembra affatto essere una APA... Per me è indecifrabile anche come aroma e gusto, ma di una cosa sono certo, è molto buona, mai mi sarei aspettato una birra cosi’!

750 from Blue Dog. My bottle says 7.0% ABV. Pours very thick and turbid morning urine gold with 1-finger frothy white head that forms copious lace designs. Nose is fruity, hoppy, with yeasty funk notes. Nose is wonderful in this. Tastes rich, velvety, with a nice fruity and light syrupy malt flavor, mid-palate hops and funky notes, and a delicious fruity and floral finish with a final huge hit of resiny hops at culmination. This one is stellar, and one of the best beers out of Italy I have ever had.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 The Etruscan (400) - Tuscany, ITALY - DEC 24, 2011
Honey colour. Off white full lasting head. Aroma is malty with floral, fruity (apricots, peaches) and light citrus, orange peel and hoppy notes. Flavor is hoppy with herbal, hoppy and light citrus tones, ending in a prolounged bitter and slightly spicy finish. Light to medium bodied.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (4091) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2011
Bottle at GBBF 2011, Day 1, shared with Ken and Paul. Pours hazy gold with a bubbly, white head. Cat urine and grass in the aroma. Yes! Faint straw and honey. Great hops in the flavor, grass, hay and straw, medium sweetness. Mild zesty citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild sticky finish, some good hay, light sweat, grass. Great balance makes this a very drinkable brew.

2009-03-22, draught at IBF 2009, Milan, 8-5-7-3-15=38 Hazy amber color; huge creamy head. Very nice fruity hop (mango and apricot). Medium body, some sweetness, malt flavor, a bit dry at the end, and light vegetables touch.
2009-03-21, draught at IBF 2009, Milan, 8-5-7-3-15=38 Hazy amber color; big head. Very good hop aroma, with mango and light oranges. Malt and caramel flavor, getting weaker and drier at the end. Good.
2008-03-28, draught at Salone della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità 2008, Milan, 7-5-7-5-15=39 With Chinook and Amarillo hops Cloudy golden color; big head. It has a very nice hoppy aroma, not fruity, but with leaves and a lot of resins, delicate. The body is average, less strong than expected, with good caramel and toffee flavor, but getting drier at the end, probably for the strong hop resins, giving a late light astringency too. Very long final of American hops. I’m missing some body and malt here, but good hop, almost honeyish. Very pleasant.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Scauca (490) - Lovere, ITALY - JUL 7, 2008
Bottle. A creamy white lasting head over a medium bodied clear orange hoppy ale. Nose got the right typical features of an I.p.A. with a slight touch of citrusy and a light hint of herbaceous creating a nice whole, with a bit of maltiness too. Starts with some fruitiness leading to a bitter, resinous end with a medium aftertaste.

Nice and hoppy citrus nose. Crisp pale malts, light honey, citrus hops. Soft and dusty yeast. Bitter finish. Very nice surprise.
