Mondial de la Bière 2011, Strasbourg - clean golden beer with a poor head retention; hints of honey in front of a solid hoppy presence; medium-bodied with a solid tart bitterness; quite dry and long bitter honeyish aftertaste - very nice stuff

75 cl bottle shared with SHIG. Hazy golden color, fluffy white head that settles slowly to reveal good lacing. Aroma of orange peel and white pepper. Taste is malt up front, followed by lemon, black pepper, light spice. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to Travlr: Poured an orange with a froathy white head. Aroma was light malt. Taste was a nice blend of malts, grain, and hop that made this beer very drinkable. Not to mention very refreshing.

750 ml bottle (6,6% ABV). A hazy/cloudy medium to dark blonde beer, with an average sized, frothy, loightly lacing, mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is lightly malty (grain), lighlly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, herbs), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of honey. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, average carbonation, very long finish with moderate bitterness. A pretty good beer, clean and balanced enough, with a good amount of Cascade hops and honey. Somewhat underrrated.

Hmm, strana birra molto caratterizzata dal miele di marruca (che azz è la marruca?). Il cascade al naso si pesca proprio con molto stento

Cloudy golden color; creamy head. Some malt and light fruitiness in the aroma, perfumy, but not enough to anticipate what will come out with the flavor: a light infection (I penalize the Overall rating). Overall it would probably be a simple but pleasant beer.

With Marruca honey; Marruca is the tree from which the Christ’s thorn crown was made
Cloudy amber color; big creamy head. It has light honey aroma, but fresh; the body is not very strong. It’s not impressive, but it’s well balanced and it’s bitter enough.

33cl bottle. Hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of herbs. Very hoppy and bitter. Medium carbonation. easy to drink

Another different style from Italy. Brownish amber colour. Nuty flavours and several malty taste. Dry and light bodied. Not long perisestent.
