Bottled@Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. Hazy orangeish amber colour with a big off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, grains, some slight rye bread, beads and mild floral notes. Flavour is floral bitterness along with some rye, chocolate and mild toasted notes as well. Rather messy beer with flavours going in all directions, and no real balance to it.

Starts off with a warning sign - aggressive carbonation swirls up all the crud, and forms a worm. Looks like diarrhea in the glass - chock full of unmentionable floaties. Smells dirty and vegetal. Nasty sticky palate, pasty, aggressive carbonation. Very dirty taste, vegetal, muddy. Nasty. Not pleasurable to drink at all. If I was at home, this would have been down the drain after 2 sips. The first badly made beer to come out of amiata.

Aroma is stale and unpleasant with potato cellar and mold. It feels soapy. Flavour is sourish with some fruitiness, moldy notes , some spices and gooseberry bush. Spicy notes get stronger towards the end. Very odd stuff.

330ml bottle @ Viisi penniä, Helsinki

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of soapy fruits and lemon. Taste of soapy fruits, malts and grassy notes. Finish is slightly fruity with some soapy notes. Decent, a bit unbalanced IPA.

Bottle 0.33l at Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. Colour is hazy yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Yeast, hops, citrus and some malts. Vety yeasty and taste is "old"

Bottle 33 cl, BBE19.03.2014. Pours dark orange in color with a foamy whitish head. Loads of grapefruit, some piney notes and a bit of some sharper notes as well, which could be described as some vegetable one in this case. Grapefruity, grassy notes and some soap in taste. Same soapyness continues in finish as well.

Bottle 330ml.

ABV: 7.3%. Unclear matt medium amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain - agner, dusty chocolate - cacao, moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dusty malt, fruity, fruity hops, rye, light cacao dusty, tart rye - fruit notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121217]

Cloudy deep blond color with generous creamy head, stable, and fantastic lace. Powerful aroma of fruity hops, Amarillo and Simcoe i read somewhere in the www, but also some passion fruit that links to a Nelson Sauvin; it has a late earthy aroma, and very late sweat. Smooth mouthfeel; delicate malt flavor, nice delicate spicy yeast, good bitterness level with fruity resins; medium strong final, not excessive as other beers; the rye adds some depth.
Excellent.

Buona questa IPA, con la giusta dose di agrumato e resina, come America detta.
