It’s Like bastarda doppia, but with all the extraordinary things that the barrel aged brings in. Liquor like and alcool taste is mixed with a rich malt profile (smoked, chestnuts). Superb. Cheers.

0,75 pullo@ OPP. Samea, kauniin kastanjanruskea. Tuoksussa tummahkoa mallasta, kastanjaa, hiukan kahvia, alkoholia. Maussa kirpeyttä, kastanjaa, mallasta, hiukan humalaa. Pähkinäistä karvautta hieman, kiva pähkinän maku säilyy suussa.

Thick foamy caramel colored head with a very sour, wine-like aroma, which is not surprising as it was aged in wine barrels. Beer is a cloudy caramel color. Sweet flavor with woody overtones. A heavier mouthfeel than normal.

On tap at The Lion’s Pride. Comes to the table a slightly hazy deep amber/copper color with a nice sized fluffy off white head that displays nice retention and lots of lace. Smells of caramel, sugar, perfume, nuts, oak, and alcohol. It’s an odd nose that’s for sure. Light fruity and sugary flavor with a bit too much alcohol heat. Fruity, oaky, red wine vinous with a hint of oily nuts. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sugary vinous mouthfeel. Its a bit weird, but it really grew on me as I worked my way through the glass.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Spicy aroma, with citrus and lavender. The flavor has floral and herbal notes with a light fruity sweetness. Nice.
