3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
a very well-done ordinary bitter, and a treat to see so authentic a replication coming out of an American brew pub. proud frothy head, subtle fruity esters on the nose, but primarily showcasing "the nakedness of two-row malt," with a fine, crisp finish, appropriately dry and not quite as bitter as the name would imply. light body. nice caramel/ toffee quality without being overly sweet. imminently sessionable. recommended.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Amicas. Pours clear light orange with a small, fizzy white head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw, meal), average hops (flowers, herbs), and light yeast. Light bodied, thin texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the Brewpub. Nitrogenated. Pours a thick Guinness type white head, with the usual bubble cascade, with some lacing, over a clear, golden amber (SRM 6) body.....nose is light malts with cereal, dominating the toffee/caramel......taste is light cereal, caramel, finishes slightly bitter...mouth feel is medium, carbonation, after the pour, is light. This meets the style of ordinary bitter right on. The ABV is correct as are both the nose and the taste. This is a light style, and should not be overly complex. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6
