3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Glouglouburp (4558) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 6, 2011
In short: A IIPA with dried fruits and white sugar sweetness. Rather ordinary
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed probably fresh, tasting session with Montreal losers
The look: Cloudy orange topped by a medium off-white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is fruity and sweet which conveys a strong dried fruits sensation. Taste is grainy crackery malts, quite sweet with a refined white sugar sensation, dried orange cubes and other dried fruits. Medium bitterness. Lack of freshness sensation and I pretty sure the bottle was fresh. I see that this beer is getting mostly positive ratings but I didn’t like it much, so maybe I’m wrong and everybody else is right… but I cannot be sure, even my inferiority complex is not good enough.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 bblack99 (505) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Bomber from the little liquor store near 285 & Arizona in Buena Vista, CO. Hazy orange blossom honey color with a moderate, slightly sticky white head. Aroma is peach, lightly floral, and a slight touch of pine. Flavor is a bit less subtle, with a shot of oaken booze, loads of bitterness from piney hop resin, and a twist of sweet caramel just before a thin, faded finish. Body is too watery and the finish lacks character, otherwise this one would be a home run like their regular IPA!
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 rader58 (576) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - DEC 22, 2010
Picked up a bottle while driving through Salida. Pours a hazy honey color with hints of golden yellow. Aroma of pine, citrus and floral hops with a slightly sweet molasses. Flavor is citrus and pine with a nicely balanced sweetness of molasses. The bitterness of the hops is very much forward, but the sweetness is subtle and quite welcome. A dry, bitter pine hops finish. Very nice! Wish I had more...lots more!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mensch (102) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Carmel colored, lacey cream head. Wonderfully rich aroma, piney first, then resins and a little onion?! Mouthfilling bitterness predominates, but still plenty of juicy malt with toasted carmel -- a hint of old ale. Finishes with dry and lasting bitters. Tasty and complex.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ajd413 (17) - Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2010
Just an average double ipa. Straight forward bitterness without a lot of complexity
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Beaver (874) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 2, 2010
22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium frothy white head that goes to a film that laces the glass.
The aroma is piney, resinous hops with a little melon and grapefruit.
The flavor is a little biscuity caramel malts with a huge resinous pine hop bitterness with a touch of melon. The bitterness is sticky and lingers in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and kind of watery.
Overall, other than the mouthfeel, this is a very good DIPA. It’s a bit of a one-dimensional hop bomb but there’s good piney/resiny flavor with the bitterness. I’d like to see a little more fruitiness. But this is good!

Bomber poured a hazy golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of pine, orange, apricot, vanilla, melon and light tropical fruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pine, orange, apricot and light tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingerin g bitter finish.
