UPDATED: SEP 2, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Pours a creamy head, good retention, attractive lacing over a copper body....nose primarily of hops with very heavy pine and resin as main aromas and some floral scents, with a bit of yeast and grain....taste initially of malts with a bit of sweetness then heavy hops with significant bitter long lasting finish. Heavy mouth feel with significant malt feel and, I agree, stickiness in the texture. This years, 2009, is up to 9% ABV. The general characteristics remain the same.

Tasted at GABF 2008. Copper color with creamy head. Nose of resiny hops and some floral notes. Flavor is sweet grains and hops. Sticky.

Draught. Pours clear tawny with an average, creamy, off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, caramel, grain), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine, resin), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple and pear. Full bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.
