pivnizub (3826), Porúří, Germany Feb 28, 2007 Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, creamy, quite firm off-white head; sweet-malty, a bit toasted nose, barnyardy, too, aromatic hops floating around; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; bitter-sweet-malty finish. A very pleasant, chewy brew............ MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Feb 22, 2007 (bottle) Almost clear, deep golden colour with a short foamy white head. The more I sample those brews from Ammerndorf, the more I like the brewery for its exceptional rural beers. Once more that distinctive barnyard nose with a balanced, slightly toasty maltiness with notes of caramel and spicy herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Aromatic rural malt character with herbal notes; dry, moderately bitter finish with herbal hops and notes of barnyard. Again a goodie.
