Appearance: It pours a hazy amber beer (surprisingly pale for a Dunkel) with a decent-sized light beige head (taller than Amooniten Bräu Pilsener) which leaves some lacework. Aroma: Boiled milk, raisin, sour apple, faint hops and a lot of walnut showing up. Malt accentuated. Flavor and palate: Sweet malty. Medium bodied. Raisin, caramel and walnut appearing. Slightly astringent. Low carbonation. Very drinkable. Pleasant malty, slightly chocolatey moderately sweet finish which is reminiscent of walnut. Overall impression: Relatively poor nose, decent taste and nice finish.
