courtesy of Allen - fully cloudy ruby-brown colour with a persistent beige foam; gentle flowery nose with herbal and earthy notes; effervescent, medium-bodied and with a solid carbonation; quite tart with some sweetness underneath; good malt body; long malty, flowery and slightly earthy finish with a decent bitterness

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Karl Ramisberger. Appearance: It pours a beautiful, slightly hazy amber beer with a nicely remaining tall off-white head. Good lacework. Aroma: Hints of walnut accompanied by hops, raisin, faint eucalyptus and malt. Inviting and distinct. Flavor and palate: Medium bodied. Subtle carbonation. Great balance between hops and malt. Sweet. Low bitterness. Very drinkable. Some lemon peel, walnut and a lot of candy sugar showing up. Nutty finish which is reminiscent of walnut, vanilla, faint bonfire and candy floss. Overall impression: Very impressive. Definetely the best Ammoniten Bräu up to now. Very good!
