On tap at the brewpub during ABA Beer Tour 07. Pours a murky/hazy pale golden amber brew with a thick off-white head. This brew’s appearance could have fooled me and would have thought this to be a hefeweizen. Aroma of distinct amarillo pine and very little caramel malt. Taste is light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a good balance of caramel and hop bitterness in flavor. Finish has a slightly gritty, and light hop bitter aftertaste

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, dandelion gold color with a thin layer of quickly dissipating white head. Tons of lemon zest hops in the aroma, bittered with a serving of white grapefruit pulp. Spicy, citrusy, and intense. The amarillo comes through very strongly and gives it an exceptional bouquet, although not much in the line of malt comes through in the nose. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel. Lots of amarillo hops immediately flood the palate, giving it a refreshingly clean cleansing feel. Some soft malt caramelization lays beneath, but this is really a hop monster. Tons of hop flavor utilization, especially for the low ABV and IPA style; this is hoppier than several 2xIPA’s I’ve had. Not overly complex, but the hop flavors that are there are solid and tasty, before finishing with some pithy Chinook harshness that is my only awfully minor issue with the hop bill.

On tap at the brewery. A beer that features the Amarillo hop, it’s a nice change of pace from the "normal" NW IPA. Not much in the way of malt, but this is an interesting/somewhat rarely used hop variety, so that’s what I’m really focused on. Very cloudy/unfiltered, feels kind of "soft" on the tongue. This one’s very close to being a great beer. Quite tasty, and the one I’ll usually order when available.

On tap. This poured a really cloudy muddy orange color with a small white head. Nice hopping in the nose and finish. The fruitiness of the brew tasted a bit muted, i’m still not sure if this is due to the cloudiness or if I just imagine it with cloudy beers, but not as crisp as I was hoping. Still a nice IPA though, but I like their domination IPA better, or whatever its called.

Tap at brewery. Deep amber colored, quite cloudy. Decent whitish head that fades down and leaves spotty lacing. Big floral/citrus hop nose, not much going on in the malt department as far as aroma goes. Medium bodied, pleasant easygoing carbonation. Loads of hop flavor, citrusy and floral. Tasty beer.
