On tap at Henry’s, Portland. Great barman allowed us to try some samples before choosing what to drink. Mind you they would then only serve pints. Cloudy red/amber with thin beige head. Lovely intense hop aroma. Surprisingly drinkable in mouth. Lovely sherberty grapefruit. Lovely aroma, have I said that? Got some good malts in mouth. Lovely finishtoo. Just not too subtle.

Yes! Off the tap at Amnesia in NE Portland, a sweet IPA that lasts... both in flavor, which I like and in the aftertaste department, which I don’t like. I could taste this beer the next morning... good thing it had such deliciousness! Dark amber hazyness with little head. Smelled of cascade hops and an explosion of goodness.

[2976-20100627] Tap. Fragrant floral hops aroma. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a quick foamy white head. More citrus flower hops flavour has a very tasty great grassy bitterness. Medium body is bitter. Fresh, enough to forget the screaming baby (almost).

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Dark amber, copper hues, large frothy off-white head, very sticky lacing.   Malt forward nose, slightly earthy, faint citrus peel.   Certainly a malt forward IPA, slight hop astringency.   Has a good dose of citrus peel zest but it fades quickly.   Finishes quick, and clean.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lingering hops and citrus zest.   I like the fact that this one has quite a bit of malt backing.   Seems fairly well balanced.   Very enjoyable.

Tap at Rose and Raindrop. Ultrahazed deep amber color with plenty of red highlights. Dense cream colored head, long lasting with great lacing left behind. Moderate pine and floral aroma, some fruitiness. Medium bodied, well balanced with modest carbonation. Pine and citrus flavor doesn’t dominate but lingers pleasantly. A touch thin at times but not to be bothersome.

Draught at Horse Brass. Malty without being really sweet IPA. Creamy. This IPA had a tone of flavor. Very enjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub during ABA Beer Tour 07. Pours a hazy coppery amber (more like a dunkel hefeweizen) with a thin off-white head that quiciky disolves to a fine film. Aroma of caramel malt, flowery hops with some citrus zest. Taste has character of something between an ESB and IPA. Light carbonation, medium bodied with more citrus flavor than malt. Finish has a sweet flavor with a dry aftertaste.

On tap at Amnesia in Portland, OR--A bigger, bolder IPA than the Sunny Day. Poured a deep copper with a thin foamy white head. Nose of big grapefruity hops and grainy, bready malts. Earthy, piny, floral finish. Quite nice!

Draft. Slighly hazy amber beer with a light tan head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and backing malt flavor. Medium body. Lingering grapefruit. Good IPA.
