On draght at brewery. Pours thick fluffy cloud-like head on top of a hazy copper/orange colored beer (the haze knocks down the score of the appearance). Has an intense fresh hop aroma, definitely NW. Centennial or Cascade like. Slight citrus, very...hmmm...green smelling if you can use that. Smells of chlorophyll, like herbs and grass. Not bad, just interesting. Followed by a nice sweet toasted malt aroma. Aroma is intense and lasts the whole beer, but there is something I am not quite sure I like. First taste is smooth, hops, hops, and more hops. But not over bitter. Just pure American hop flavor (America F**K Yeah!) Very herbal (clover, green grass, a little pine). Nice round malt flavor, sweet not cloying, toasted, caramel, and hops all the way through. Carbonation was nice and light, body was perfect. Filled every void in my mouth, with out being rude. Finishes with citrus hops and me wanting more. Nice beer from a good brewery. I’ll take another Desolation please!

Cloudy red amber. Light nose; a little soapy. Medium-full palate is a little candied-brown sugar and candied fruit flavors overtake a light hoppiness. Sticky, malty finish. Not really true to style, this beer is unbalanced and too sweet to drink very much of

On tap at Amnesia. Nice amber body with slight head. Nose is malts, but also plenty of hops and citrus in there. Taste starts malts and caramel, then gets more hoppier, pine and citrus. Bitter in the finish.

Draught at Amnesia Brewing. From notes. Tasted in tandem wth the Copacetic IPA. This one has a drier finish & mid-palate than Copacetic, Mid-palate a bit weak. Hop bitterness rises on finish. Has Chinook for bittering and Crystal for finishing, and is dry hopped with both.

Amber in color, aroma is fairly malty with sugary notes... Flavor is very malty and caramel up front, decent notes of spicy hops on the palate, however really malty for a west coast ipa..

Tap at Amnesia, Portland - 07/11/12. Pours hazy orange/amber with a thin white head. Nose is pale malt, light floral tones, hops and citrus. Tastes of pale malts, caramel, light hops, touch of vanilla, some citrus. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. OK - nowt special.

Maltier than most local IPAs. Amber pour with thin white head. Hoppy aroma. Malty body with a strong hop edge. Bitter finish

Dry hopped version at the brewery. Deep amber pour. The nose is very hoppy and fresh. A lot of caramel and toffee but it’s not sweet. Resiny and a little bit earthy, but I definitely prefer the drier stuff. Fresh though.

Aroma is sweetish with resin and some hops. Flavour has resin, sweetness and hops. Feels a bit like Black IPA.

Translucent dark amber. Thick off-white cap. Not much aroma. A bit too malty for my liking, but still alright.
