Tap... Poured a golden-orange with a thin, slightly off-white head. Crisp, malty aroma that was like buttered biscuits. Soft palate, not a whole lot of hop or floral flavors, which is fine for the style but this one lacked a little dimension. Otherwise, a nice tame ESB that I’m sure others love this one though.

Terrific amber glow. Light tan cap. Faint caramel. Good balance of malt and bite.

Tap at the brewery. Ruby reddish brown pour. Smooth toffe malt and earthy hop taste. Aroma is dusty, earthy hop with some toffe notes poking through. Just ok.

Caramel, toffee notes on aroma. Hazy copper pour with no head. Bready flavor with hop bitterness on finish, but with no real hop flavor. Low carbonation and thin mouthfeel. An average bitter though no one outstanding characteristic.

Tap @ Brewery: Pours an amber color with light head. Creamy and malty with a little sweetness and underattenuated mouthfeel. Light floral hops in the tail and a little unbalanced. More fuggles.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy, garnet copper amber with one ring of white head. Malty nose, grains, bread. Flavor is crisp, malty, bready, crackers, biscuit, orange zest, lemon zest, cakey, sweet, caramel, some fruits. Medium bodied, lightly sweet.

Had with tapas at Torro Bravo in Portland. Mostly malt. Solid but not spectacular. Would be a good pairing with a zesty burger with fixins.

On tap at brewpub. Slightly orange amber. Easy drinking ESB with a biscuit aroma and similar flavor.

Nice deep amber coloured body with a very thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of clean english hops, some malt and not much else. Medium-bodied; Assertive english hops very noticeable with toffee, nuts and a bit of malt tucked in. Aftertaste clean and bitter - decent. Overall, a good beer to try, not too complex, but definitely well-rounded. I sampled this beer on draught in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006.
