On tap at Henry’s, Portland. Very red/amber, with lasting beige head. Bright fruity aroma. Red fruits. Goodish malt in mouth. Really reminiscent of ESBs I have known, malty in mouth with some coffee. Nice finish, fruit and more malt. Good ESB, bit like Fullers ESB, but much more pronounced flavours.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a mostly transparent ruddy brown color with a finger of thick bubbled off-white head. Fruity rainier cherries, caramel, biscuit, and leafy hops form a solid, clean bouquet. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel. Well attenuated body with a dry, refreshing finish. Plenty of hearty chewy malts on the front of the palate, with a light fruity cherry flavor, and dries out nicely on the backend with a final smack of herbal spicy hops. Solid example.

Skyview (5269) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 15, 2007
On tap at the brewpub during ABA Beer Tour 07. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with an average off-white head that dissolves slowly. Aroma of light caramel malt with other scents of busicuits, fruit esters and flowery hops. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with a dry biscuit flavor. Finish is light, crisp with a mild hop bitter aftertaste.

On tap at Hard Liver Barleywine Festival 09, Brouwer’s Cafe. And pretty close to being the beer of the day, at that. Slightly hazy medium amber. Dense, creamy tan head. Nice caramel and pine head. Creamy medium body. Caramel, toast, and resin mid-palate. Mild resiny finish.

Nice deep amber coloured body with a very thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of clean english hops, some malt and not much else. Medium-bodied; Assertive english hops very noticeable with toffee, nuts and a bit of malt tucked in. Aftertaste clean and bitter - decent. Overall, a good beer to try, not too complex, but definitely well-rounded. I sampled this beer on draught in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2008 A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with grassy notes of hop, and so is the flavor with a dry and very bitter finish.

Cloudy orangish with thin white head. Faint floral aroma. Lekker hoppy bite, with a bit of maltiness in the finish. Nothing to shout about, but a good beer withal

On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours dark amber with a creamy white head. Big citrus and earthy hop nose. Quick sweetness up front, but blasted out by the hops. More like a red IPA then an ESB, not enough maltiness to it to keep the hops in check.
