Dark yellowish with small soapy head. Aroma of malts and faint hops, quite fresh for a pilsener. Quite strong flavour for a pilsener

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Its like a pilsner trying to become a golden ale and settling for something in between. Medium gold with a thick, frothy, creamy, lasting white head. Smells of peaches with toasted malt, some spices and light hops. Light thin oily body with soft carbonation. Smooth taste of toasted malt, with nice level of sweetness with a decent hop finish and only a bit of chemicalness from the forced carbonation.. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

What can you say about this beer other than that its better than the pale lager? Doesn’t have any overwhelmingly different flavor than its better known cousin. Similar appearance and mouthfeel.

A slightly darker yellow pilsener. Not much aroma to detect. It is a little bit more bitter than the regular pilsener, but the palate stays for a bit longer. Not very special.
Een iets donkerder van kleur pilsener. Van aroma is niet veel te herkennen. Het bier is iets bitterder dan de standaard pilsener, alleen blijft de nasmaak iets langer hangen. Niet echt bijzonder.

Dunkles Gold mit reichlich feinem Schaum. Grasig hopfig im Aroma. Der Antrunk ist schön vollmundig. Saft- und kraftvoller Malzkörper, der durch den leckeren Hopfen im Abgang abgepuffert wird. Für mich das beste Amstel!
