UPDATED: FEB 5, 2008 Foam ok, nice (dark) malty, sulphury and hoppy aromas, flavours including grapefruit, suggesting American hops being used among others. Good bitterness, pleasantly drying mouthfeel and well-balanced sweetness. I like this beer.

Thougher than the regular Amstel, strong aftertaste not so sweet as regular one.

Adequate, can’t say it is a favorite. Nice nose, and is clean tasting and drinkable.

Hops and grapefruit in the aroma and taste. Dry and crisp beer with a hopbitter finish. A pleasant surprise.

Bottle @ home. Nice clear deep golden color, full lightly creamy white head. Smell malts, grains and some bitter. Taste nicely bitter and malty: a very nice full flavoured pilsener. Good firm carbo for only 5%ABV. Low body.

Bottled. A really pleasant suprise. I really enjoyed this old gold coloured pilsener which had a slight tan coloured head. The aroma isslightly creamy with some lemon and vanilla notes. The taste is really clean and crisp and refreshing. A lovely crisp bitterness shows a good standard of brewing. Very tasty and very enjoyable to drink.

Not a bad lager at all. Tastes as dark as it looks (!? if you know what I mean...) Good bit of hops. This one is from a bottle but I have had it draught in the bar at Schipol Airport.
