A clear and gold coloured beer which almost loses his head immediatly. Very much like his older brother the Amstel Pilsener. The main difference is the 4% abv instead of 5. That makes him lighter bodied. Tastes like grass, grain and some sweet hints at the back. Medium bitterness and medium carbo. Overall a good option when you want to have a refreshing beer with not too much alcohol.

0,5 liter blik. @home. Het smaak net als de gewone amstel.

Clear medium golden colour with low head and medium body. Nose of hops. Taste of medium bitter hops, ripe grains, hay, clover, cardamon and bay leaves. Easy to drink and refreshing; not more or less than what I’d expected.

Sometimes you expect only water and a cheap industrial beer from the Netherlands. But then you get something like this which starts of slightly...blond. Nice hops with a bit yeast and some vanilla in the nose. Of course it is just a light blond...like a Lager Blond - and this makes that beer so fine. Pretending of being heavy but with just 4 abv. Liked it much as it was a quite sweetish way to kill my thirst.

Medium yellow with a thin, disappearing, non lacy, fizzy off-white head. Smells of grain, cereal, bran toast, corn, metal, malt and club soda. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Tastes of sweet malt and corn but subdued under the bitter grain, cardboard, straw finish. The forced carbonation makes it taste like club soda; something I always hate. But it is drinkable but truly boring.

Keg@thebell, shifnal. Golden beer with no head. No aroma. Taste is a little grain nothing much else. Carbonated a little more than average.

Bottle. Clear pale golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma of grain and corn, some hay, soft grassy hop. Soft bitter taste, some sweetness. Typical pale lager, but not that bad.

Can, 500 ml picked up at local supermarket. This is just your regular, average lager typed beer.. Looks ok, smells a bit skunked with malty touches (interesting..) and has a bland flavour. Really nothing special....

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, hay, light hops, quite fresh. Rather sweet flavour, very light bitter. Light body, short finish.
Refreshing and quite balanced. It’s a lager, but not a bad one.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2013 Clear golden, white head, sparkling. Boring beer, malty with some dough and hay.
