Bottle 30cl. @ [ Back2Bock Tasting ].
Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Bitterness is burnt malt and sugar bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. A red beer with a small head. The aroma is very malt sweet with notes of berries. The flavor is very soft and malty sweet - a little flat in the middle. Not an especially good beer - I had expected much more.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2005 (Bottle 30 cl) Chestnut brown with a warm, reddish glow. Small, beige head. Some notes of smoked malt in the nose. Flavours of roasted malt on a rather thin body. Lightly bitter finish. 280705

30 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a collapsing off-white head. Alcohol and caramel to breadish malt aroma. Sweet malty and slight roasted to breadish malty. Light metallic note. Lingering malty and slight spiced finish.

Bottled, brewed by Brarudi, Burundi. Pale amber, dense firm head. Fruity lingonberry aroma. Sweet and fruity with some dusty vegetables and dried plums. Salty finish. Sugary and unrefined.

Bottled. Dark amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is wooden, a bit roasted and raisiny. Flavour is malty, with mild roasted hints as well as a big alcoholic peak, which reminds of plums, but not quite as sweet though. Wellbalanced, though a bit "boring" after a while.

Bottled. Red brown coloured with a small off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and dried fruits.

Bottle, licence-brewed in Hungary. Nice dark brown colour. Flavour is malty and peppery with a hint of honey.

Cloudy mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel, toffee and rye bread. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, caramel, toffee, rye bread and vague hops. Finished sweet.

Bottle @ Early Winter Tasting, Odense, 2011. Pours ruby amber with a small bubbly head. Sweet and syrupy. Caramel, bread and fruit. Bubblegum. Medium bodied. Alcohol warmth.
