2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bierbeek (53) - Beek, NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2012
33 cl bottle. Yellow to Golden colour. Minimal white head. Very little Aromas, just soms sweet malts. Taste is grain, sweet malts. Finish is very mild bitter. Soapy mouthfeel. Extra percent alcohol not predominantly present.
Not special, lack of flavour. I prefer regular Amstel pilsener or Amstel 1870
1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 erickok (1061) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JAN 12, 2012
Golden fizzy body with bubbly white head. Darker than the normal Amstel pilsner and the head lasts much longer. Very grassy, hay, white bread dough and even some juniper berries. Could be much worse. Drinkable sweet, sticky body with an equally sweet malty taste. Underhopped big time. Leaves a dryish feel. Underdeveloped or something. Strange. Disappointed after the hopeful aromatic start. Cheap. (33cl bottle)
