Bottle at home. Why’s there 7% in it? I think the taste would be pretty much the same as the normal Amstel Lager, maybe a fuller body when there wasn’t this alcoholic aroma. I don’t understand the people who talk about caramel fruit and that kind of things, I mostly taste the alcohol.

Leichte bernsteinfarbe, wenig Kohlensäure, malziger und südlicher Geschmack, am Schluß leichter zitrusgeschmack

never rated this... bottle from supermarket, golden pour with a white head. remembered this as a more refreshing beer as the regular amstel, with a bit more alcohol notice, more citrus and a bit more malt taste

Rating from old notes. Deep ’old gold’ coloured, clear lager with yellowish white, lasting head; malt sweetish, grainy, with some herbal hops and the expected wodka-like alcohol presence in the finish, but less wry than feared. This is an above average strong Euro lager, but nothing more.

Currently I am updating my ratebeer with al the beers I drank but was too lazy to rate at the time. I give the scores I gave back than. If I drink the beers again I might re-rate them.

300ml botle Appearance: A clear light amber with a frothy white head, not that long lasting. Aroma: earthy and sweet malts and light hay Taste: Sweet malts and grains and hay finishing with a mild bitterness. Light body, livey carbonation. Good Pilsner and one of the better ones comming from a big brewery.

Sewer, metal, old bread... Far too sweet, astringent finish... One hell of a dirty beer

Bottle at the Ibis Hotel, Amsterdam airport. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is big earthy malt yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry mineral light resin hop alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Pretty awful. The palate and the aftertaste are not something that I will take to my death bed with me!
