Beautiful golden color with a mildly bitter taste and cheerful character.

not horrid or very memorab;e in the grand scheme of things. A malty lager that’s a step up from the swill but a step backwards from any decent micro.

Une lager très peu goûteuse, sans grand intérêt. Facilement trouvable en grandes surfaces ou à la pression en France.

Can, brewed in Greece. Golden, clear with no head. Aroma: Very weak, some malt and honey. Taste: Low sweetness and very low bitterness. Very weak typical flavor of lager. Watery with high carbonation. Good example of nothing beer.

I usually buy 6x330ml cans of Amstel from a supermarket in Ijmuiden before catching DFDS Ferry to North Shields. Because, DFDS charge me €5 a pint on-board ferry. Drinking this beer in a cabin(with seaview) is my classic way of ending the continental holiday. Nice golden colour with bitter finish.

0,33 l can from a stall in Chania. Clear golden body with a fingerthick off-white head. Sour metallic nose bringing thoughts of rust to mind. I brush them off and head boldly into a tasting gulp. A sweet malt presence is quickly overwhelmed by a papery bitterness that lingers as an off taste in the mouth. The next sips confirm the first impression. The nose gives off some wooden notes after a while. Light bodied crap.

For being a mass-produced lager beer, it works quite well. Good as a thirst quencher.

Tap. Golden with a white head. Very dull, almost no carbonation, pretty sweet for a pilsener, and just boring.

Golden color. White head. Grainy, grassy and cerealy aroma. Corny taste. Very flat and not very pleasant.

(On tap) Clear golden with good but transient white head. Aroma is grassy hops. Light bodied and fizzy. Taste is light malt some bitterness in finish. Overall drinkable but underwhelming.

Pours a clear yellow with a thin white head. Nose of grass, wheat and a bit of fruity citrus. Taste is sweet with a bit of hoppy bitterness. Typical lager
