2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
From tap in Lefkada, Greece. Looks nice and tasty. Very faint aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Good bitterness in the finish (pretty much the only positive thing about this one). Slighly better than the standard greek lagers.

Bottle, was curious if it was better than the Light version, it is but just barely, pours pale gold with a white head, sweetish malt aroma, not much taste, thin and watery, light bitter finish, nothing to see here.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a semi - clear yellow to orange color with a slight bubbly/foamy head that dissipated within about a minute.
The smell didn’t have much to it as it slightly seemed to have a slight sweet cooked corn. A light invasive toastiness tries to come through but maintains a fond background.
The taste was a mediocre sweet corn to toast . Slight caramel balanced it in a fairly decent way.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation comes across fairly smooth which was good for the style and for me.
Overall, good pale lager that’s worthy of having again.

Its a pale yellow, carbonated so with head, lacing, bottled lager that is cheap, cold and necessary on a hot day in lefkada greece.

It poured with a nice head that quickly fled. The taste was slightly better than massed produced lagers. It went down smooth which was the best part of this beer.

Well I've been warned to stay away from Amstel Light, but I figured I'd give regular Amstel a try. An acceptable pale lager, bland in most respects but drinkable, has a very soft palate, very smooth. What taste there is, is grainy with some grassy bitter flavor, not as adjunct-sweet as others. A cheap thirst quencher, better than Heineken IMHO.
