2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
30 cl bottle: not bad at all for a mass produced lager. If I lived here in Holland I could get used to drinking this as a fridgefiller maybe, but then again there are pleanty of amazing beers here. This beer contians some flavorful cereally type malts and some nice bitter hops. I canít bad mouth it at all for what it is. Macro brewed accepatbility

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft, Golden yellow coloured, with some light carbonation and a small white head. Sweeter malty aroma. Medium body. Finish is sweet, very little bitter. Normal sweeter pale lager, nothing to special.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In the Netherlands most selled beer. A golden sweet lager with a nice head. A duller standard than Heineken.

I think that this beer is actually better than Heineken. It has a more full flavour and tastes more like a real beer than a cheap beer. I kind of wonder why they donít really sell this in America and instead sell only the infereor light version of this. The Dutch are scoffing at us right now.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Hoppy aroma and flavour of hops and malt as well as flavour.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A very ordinary lager that is at best good for thirst-quenching in the sun. Not very exciting.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
You canít move for crates of this stuff in the Mediterranean. Or Albania. No idea why. OK, itís a sweet, malty, candyish clear gold lager with a hint of hop bitterness. But certainly nothing worth importing by the shipping container load. But if Verginaís the alternative, mineís an Amstel. (Re-rate 13/10/06. Draught UK half. Crisp, bready, malty refreshment. A touch of almost smoky dryness. Different beer to the GK version, and a different class.)

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
(Canned, brewed in Greece) Clear golden color with a medium head. Sweet-honeyish, corny-malty, lightly grassy-hoppy aroma. Bittersweet, lightly acidic flavor with some smooth maltiness and sweet honey in the finish. Light to medium-bodied, semi-sweet palate with soft carbonation. This was actually a surprisingly nice bulk lager, with smooth mouthfeel and a clean, sweet-honeyish flavor, with the acidity in control. Very easy to drink - a basic lager in its purest form.
