YES! World’s best lager beer... probably. Although it is considered being a standard beer, the taste is fantastic, specially when served draught.

The bottle i had was different to this pic and called a "premium lager" - same or not?
Anyway, it blew us away. Beautiful full-bodied lager smell with a great golden colour and almost perfect head. Nice and fizzy with a clean, crisp taste. Great beer!

Amstel Lager has my taste buds going haywire. It is crisp, Does not hold you on the throat. I believe that the colder the beer, the more enjoyable it is.

A very good pale lager, not especial but a very good beer. Simple, very tasteful.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2003 A lot better than many of the 'other' mainstream (read: affordable) beers. Seeing the number of different countries giving this beer ratings confirms my idea of universal appeal. Smooth and soft with no nasties

what a lager!! and i'm talking about the Greek draft brew that i drink on Holiday lovely carbonated medium bodied lager all that is good about lager smashing light woody aftertaste that makes me linger for more slightly bloating though!! i guess i may be drinking too much of it!!

I enjoy drinking Amstel, as i live in Tanzania. It is a very grainy beer and is very smooth.

Good pilsener but nothing special about it. Especially the actions in combination with the Champions League I like.
