COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special light beer containing only 3.5% alcohol and approximately 35% fewer calories than regular lager beer. But every bit as thirst-quenching and refreshing.

I’ve heard this beer touted as ’the best light beer on the market.’ Well, it’s not bitter, and that’s its best/only really good quality. I found the taste to be way too grainy, and it seemed to be over-carbonated. Molson light, while not as flavorful, is much more enjoyable. True, it may be the least watered-down light beer, but its flavor is barely tolerable.

Drastically different in a bottle and on draft. Like it on tap not in a bottle.

The best of the lights. Worth it if you’re packin’ on a few extra pounds.

I have found that this actually works much better to clean my dishes because it pains me less to poor this light crap down the drain.

A few years back a buddy of mine went to San Diego. I told him to see if he could find some local brews for me, you know, like AleSmith. He brings back Amstel Light and Pete’s Strawberry Blonde. Some bloody friend, eh?

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2004 I first rated this when I was just getting started on this site. Now after the second time around I can see how this was not as good as I once thought. Had a really bad aftertaste in my mind. and for a light beer it did not go down as smoothly as it should have.

I didn’t find this to be bad as far as light beers go. Head and body were kind of ’soapy’, on par for the style. Taste was watery but there is some residual beer taste in there. Interestingly, I’ve never seen this sold outside of the country - I think they make it especially for us tasteless Americans.

Awful! Do the Europeans think they can ship anything over here and we’ll buy it? Skunky, no flavor, no aroma. Get a Coors. It’s fresh and at least they don’t make a pretenses.
