2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The king of the light beers before Sam Adam’s light. A good full flavored light beer with a clean, if a little thin, mouthfeel. Can get skunky and old despite the bottle color. Fascinating.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2006 The best light beer, I think. Presents with a nice easy malt/grain aroma and flavor. Light tart little bigte at the end.

This wasn’t too bad for being brewed in mass quantities. Fairly easy to drink. Taste is not appaling, but that’s because there is a significant lack of taste. Oh well.

Dirty. Watered down Heineken. Lightly malty taste. Slightly skunky (Heneken-esque) aroma.

A good light beer, but sam adams has to be on of the best - if you can call thier light a light beer. THis has not much flavor or aroma, but there is nothing too offensive about it, so therefore it cant get the worst rating.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pretty plain beer in general, but far superior to its brewery counterpart, Heineken. Good for a light beer, but nothing exceptional.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2005 Rerate The only reason I drank it this time was to get a free pint glass - man - there is no flavor in here whatsoever - only redeeming quality is that it is low in ABV - so you can drink a lot of these and not lose your edge. 2nd rerate 2.7 1st Rerate Been a while since I had one of these - just not quite as crisp and refreshing as they used to be - palate has matured somewhat; rather thin and watery, not much of a malt or hop presence Original 3.2 So, this is what the yuppies drink? Not bad for a light and not as skunky as its counterpart Heineken. Good choice at an airport bar when there is no alternative. Crisp, refreshing - easy to drink.

This beer is horrible...definitely not as advertised. Boring and almost entirely without taste

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is
clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), trace hops (herbs),
with a light note of solvent. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery
texture, fizzy carbonation. An unbalanced grainy/plasticine mess.

A good light beer to have with dinner slightly bitter but won’t over power a meal.
