A special light beer containing only 3.5% alcohol and approximately 35% fewer calories than regular lager beer. But every bit as thirst-quenching and refreshing.

This pouired a very pale straw yellow with a white head. Aroma was pretty much all skunk and nothing else. Flavor was skunk, corn, and grass. Not good.

On a flight, it poured a fizzy yellow gold. Just a regular lager, it is ok. Nothing special. Basic lager aroma & taste...

33cl from Carrefour. Clear pale golden with a white head. Weak aroma of grain, fruits and hints of citrus. Moderate sweet, lightly grainy with hints of citrus and some acidity. Not much bitterness. Very watery and weak in flavour, slightly strange and dry

33cl can on AA flight from Chicago to Berlin - the only alternative to Heineken and more tomato juice proved to be not too bad for a light beer. Light on taste and palate, yes, but a feat for Amstel to have left some residual hop notes in and filtered out all the malt off-tastes from regular Amstel nevertheless!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear light golden color with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is very light, some pale malt, grainy corn maybe. The flavor was light as well; grainy corn, pale malt, light sweetness. There is really not much there.

Do people actually pay money for this? Sweet corny grainy cardboard on the nose tells you all you need to know. Taste is same yet much blander than the printed word might suggest. Finish is unpleasant sour/metallic wit a touch of cooking oil. The brewers are laughing at us.

Bottle @ M&M 2013 conference. Aroma was slgithy malty with grain hues. Taste was similar with a light profile. Palate was OK for a light beer. Overall, not bad for light beer.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a fluffy one finger head. Actually good head retention thanks to the abundant carbonation. Aroma of hay and light bread along with a touch of skunk. Some corn thrown in there too. Flavor starts out with bread and hay and is actually not half-bad albeit very light. However it then completely disappears to nothing but a tinge of bitterness. I can’t believe how quick the flavor just disappears. Extremely watery mouthfeel. Overall, this beer is just barely a step above water. Almost no flavor whatsoever.

Surprise, if there’s less alcohol there’s less calories... I tried to drink this back in the day when I was looking to limit the number of carbs in my beers. Not anymore...
