very watery beer Amstel Light is an odd beer for 2 reasons: 1- It was created soley for the American market. and 2- Although American ’Lights’ don’t have any hop character, Heineken felt they needed to add some. In my opinion, the hop character that is there just doesn’t work. I’d much rather have a Caulier Extra

Bottle. Pours yellow with light white head that dissipates. Very mild aroma over heavy carbonation. Unremarkable. Above average light beer that doesn't suck as bad as bud/coors light.

Bottle. Aroma has grain and corn.
Taste has grain, little hops. Surprisingly tasty for such a low alcohol content. Not takong that into consideration, tasteless and watery.

Canned, 0.33l. Clear golden color with medium frothy white head, some lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of light malt, cereals, vegetables and some skunkiness. Taste starts with light sweet adjunct malts, follows by light grassy sourness and very mild bitter finish. Light body, watery texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Pure golden colored water :)

Nice smooth drink. Short-lasting buy tall head. Poured into a tall glass, and between the color and the bubbles, it looked like champagne. Taste reminds me of a belgian, somewhat nondescript.

On a hot day, on a BBQ party, a trip to the beach, Amstel Light is a nice option. One of the smoothest beers, it has a firm aroma, body and color. Delicious til the last drop.
