May 16, 2005 A light yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is malty, while the flavor is malty and hoppy with a dry end and a thin body. Boring.

Jul 20, 2005 (Bottle 30 cl) Comes as "Amstel Lite" in my version. Fully golden but practically without any head. Very fresh, lightly citrusy nose. Naturally rather light-bodied, not much malt, but a small, short, dry finish. And again some weak citrus in the flavours. Actually a rather pleasant surprise. 180705

May 16, 2001 A few years back a buddy of mine went to San Diego. I told him to see if he could find some local brews for me, you know, like AleSmith. He brings back Amstel Light and Pete’s Strawberry Blonde. Some bloody friend, eh?

Jul 6, 2003 Rule #1: never buy bad beer. Rule #2: if the opportunity comes to try a beer, however bad it is likely to be, at least try it. And so it came to pass that I had opportunity to try for free two beers I had never tried before, this being one of them. Straw body with medium white head. Virtually no aroma, though there was the smallest hint of graininess. Taste was light sour yeast, and grainy. Very water body. Dreck sold at import prices -- once again, marketing triumphs over reason.
