Sweetish-beery beginning. Lots of lemonade, but not artificial. The beer is only very subtle under the thick lemonade layer. If I wouldn’t know it’s a "Radler", I thought it could be some bitter malt-lemonade....
The aftertaste is citrus-bitter, sweet and hints of beer.

In short: tasty radler.
More a refreshing lemon beverage than a beer, but anyways with a good fruit flavour and a not so bad beer taste. Much better than many radlers/shandys.

I am not sure how one goes about marketing of a two-percent alcohol premium priced beer goes but I am sure whatever international brewing concern owns the Amstel brand knows what they are doing. I guess it seems like Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is doing pretty good so I dunno. In any case, if anything this is probably a little better than that particular Stiegl beer mix, albeit very similar in concept and execution. It pours a completely hazed yellow and aside from a lack of head could maybe be confused w/ a witbier or something. This is really dominated by lemon and sweetness but I do detect just a touch of some malt and some grassy hops in the nose, which actually adds something. There is a bit of lemonade pucker to this and that combined w/ a bit of pulp (I think) added to this makes for a nice juicy texture. This is a nice, refreshing radler and very much better than most domestic examples of similar things here in the US. I am almost certain I will never purchase this again but I guess it serves a purpose for those people who would like to drink something mildly alcoholic from a can that is not really beer.

Voor een radler zeer goed te doen. Heerlijk met warm weer. Prima verhouding bier en frisdrank.
