Not exactly a high gravity beer, but they’ve managed to preserve something of the taste of Amstel (not sure whether that was necessary) while increasing the alcohol. They bumped up the sweetness, a sort of brown sugary distraction, to disguise it.

A pretty typical inexpensive lager. Pours yellow, light body. Taste is a malty sweetness with a harsh and bitter aftertaste.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear golden and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a malty touch . This beer smells to malt.

Can. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Can. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, hops and grain.

It pours a golden color with some brown in it’s centre and with a white foam head. Tastes a lot like normal Amstel, but has got a bit more body. It’s aroma contains some more alcohol and it’s taste is a bit sweeter. Overall not abad beer.

Hellmalziger Antrunk, wenig getreidig. Dazu etwas alkoholisch. Kaum aromatisch, die Stärke des Bieres zeigt sich leider in keinster Weise. Weiter hellmalzig, etwas hefig. Naja... 6/7/7/8/8/8

Can. Wondering why I bought it. Golden brown pour, medium sized dense head. Aroma is, well, not that bad actually, it’s malty with a fair amount of hops. So far so good. Flavour is a bit alcoholic sweet maltyness, hint of metal, but almost no hops to be found. Wow, it’s exactly as expected!

Can from the Deen market in Volendam. Pours dark gold with a foamy white head. Mild hop aroma. Rather sweet, Not a lot of hop to balance. Not wholly distasteful, but not enticing at all. On the other hand it’s a lot cleaner than many of the style.

So clear you can look right through it. One of those beers you wonder about why it’s actually out there. I guess so you can get drunk a little faster. Weird taste I cannot even describe. It’s the perfect beer for your upper class homeless dude.
