2012-06-22. Black body with a nice frothy tan head 3+ Nice aroma has dry roasty notes, dark malt, modest sugar/molasses character. Flavour is similar, very sweet base, dark malt and sugary/molasses notes. Modest bitterness and roast lingers in the finish. Average plus bodied palate. 3+ Pretty solid porter, alcohol is very mild. [4554-20120622] Cask. Sweet roasted bandaid syrup aroma has a multi-grain bread base. Black body with a quick foamy tan head. Boozy roasted coffee sour flavour has a long-lasting sour funky aftertaste. Full body. Over-poweringly roasted booze but interesting to sample. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Clear winner of Project X mini-caskfest. Black with a show of bubbles for a head. Sweet roasted coffee aromas. Taste is mild coffee more than molasses. Yummy stuff. It kicked first. Unique in above average mouthfeel for a cask.

On cask at C’est What Summer Festival Of Craft Breweries. Pours a very dark brown with moderate-sized tan head. Aroma is fairly roasty with sweet molasses and chocolate. Rich roasty flavour with molasses, chocolate and a bit of fruit. Big body. Quite nice - probably my favourite of the festival.

Cask: A deep dark brown porter with a thin big bubbled mocha head. In aroma, a sweet caramel chocolate, alcohol and wet dough. In mouth, a sweet dark fruit with light chocolate, light acidity, so-so. On tap at C’est What’s Festival of Small Brewers, June 23, 2012.
