Assez maltée pour une IPA! Une robe assez foncée, une texture assez épaisse en bouche, amertume semi-présente. Goût de caramel, houblonnée concentré sur le côté résineux et floral du houblon. On sent bien le 7.1% d’alcool présent.

473ml can from LCBO poured in an IPA glass. Thanks Audrée. Aroma: tropical fruits, caramel and a bit piney. App hazy copper, medium off white head. Some lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, resinous, dry light sweet and medium bitter finish. Overall: better than expected. Enjoyed the palate feeling. Like all Ontario IPA?s I?ve had, it?s not enough fruity or piney and too malty. Still enjoyed it.

Draught @ Stout Irish Pub, Toronto. Pours hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of citrus and touches of malt and yeast and fruity hints. Bitter, hoppy flavour with citric and malty notes and touches of yeast and fruit. Bitter aftertaste with notes of needles. Well-balanced and nice.

Amber and slightly cloudy pour with a white head. Bracing bitter hop flavours, sparkling palate, little bit of piney grassiness, nice hop aftertaste. Good IPA available all around Toronto, have had dozens of times.

Aroma: strong sweet malt and caramel notes, light to moderate spruce and citruses. Taste: moderate sweeteness, strong bitterness. Flavour: malt sweeteness, like in the bock beer, resin, some citruses, some alcohol. Long strong bitterness with light alcohol notes in the aftertaste. Good but hops are too weak.

CAN 473 ML from bunget. Clear amber-red, medium tan head. Aroma of sweet mats, a bit toasty, citrus hops, oranges, the malts still dominate. The taste is malty sweet, minal hop flavour, strong but clean bitterness. Some spicy pungent notes late in the finish.

My go-to session IPA. It’s VERY hoppy and that’s not for everybody but if you like citrus and spruce forward beers this one drinks much lighter than its alcohol content would suggest.

Various sources. Medium to dark amber brown pour, slight haze, medium tan head. Malt and big hop aroma, caramel, grapefruit, pine. Taste is much the same, great balance. Good bitter finish.

I want to love this, but I don’t. I’m having a hard time deciding why it is that I don’t love this beer. I’ve had about 10 of these over the past 3 months, and still I feel it lacks the excitement I’m looking for. Appearance: The dense lathery head is impressive in its persistence. A great savoring (nursing?) brew as the eternal head is gorgeous, with lacing down the glass. the auburn colour is also beautiful. Although unfiltered, I left most of the residue in the bottle this time. Nose: yes, it is hoppy, with good notes of pine, but there is also a lot of biscuit malt here--maybe too much in fact. Aroma is "alright". Taste: Bitter, as expected, and malty. Balanced enough, but a little dead. Alcoholic and a bit syrupy. Not as much citrus as I like in an IPA, and a little too heavy with all the malt. I pay for the auburn colour with a little too much malt flavour. No major flaws in this, but nothing to get me looking forward to the next one. too much of a one-and-done. Still, go Canada, keep upping the stakes on the IPA. I’m glad to see more on the market.
