Amazing IPA on draft at Bar Volo.
Great balance and flavours with all the hop you expect in a great IPA.
Always a safe choice for a great IPA. Top 3 in Town.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Scent starts out soapy before mellowing out to woodiness. Hazy light copper. Good woody IPA. Solid malt and mouth feel. Pairs well with tomato soup at Beerbistro.

Bouteille 12 oz. Merci Gilles. Couleur ambrée, mousse blanche. Ya de la neige dans ça ! Arôme de houblon, gazon, terre. En bouche, malt, grains, houblon frais. Très bonne.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a beige head. Big tropical fruit on the nose with some definite resinous notes. Heavy hops all around, with alcohol, and faint caramel. The taste starts with some nice tropical notes, but quickly gets lost in a giant cloud of resinous slightly astrigent hops with some sweet undertones, and a long bitter "Extra Strong Fisherman’s Friends" finish. There’s not much malt in the picture, the hops do all the talking, and maybe a little too much.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Volo, Toronto
Hazy amber color, with red hue; creamy head. Nice resiny hop aroma, although revealing some crystal in the background. Lean mouthfeel; caramel flavor, some disturbing crystal; strong bitterness, not too resiny, and just lightly fruity.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark amber with small floaties and a nice velvet beige head. Aroma is deep citrus and grapefruit. Taste is a sharp citrus and grapefruit hop bitterness that slightly dries the palate. Nicely off set with sweet malts. Great beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from LCBO. Pours slightly hazy copper, with little hop (I assume it’s hops) bits. Malty aroma with some citrus fruits and pine. Big caramel malty taste, "not so fresh" hops, pine, and a bitter finish. Slightly flat on the tongue.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Oct 16 2012. 355ml bottle pours hazy dark apricot almost brownish. No head just micro bubbles that make a thin ring. Leaves a great lacing even though there isn't any head. Aroma is indication that this is for hops lovers. Strong citrus and grassy hops on nose. Taste is a good blast of hops that dominates the biscuity malts that is just enough to bring a little balance. Malt is only noticed in the finish which isn't as bitter or long lasting as other hops "bombs". Crisp dry palate. This is not just the only good offering Amsterdam has it is fantastic!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Great aroma of pine and grapefruit. One of the strongest IPAs I have smelled! Nice looking unfiltered dark pumpkin body (Lovibond 14/15). Little head, mostly lace. Murky but no yeasty floaties to be seen. Wonderful kick of pine and grassy hops but incredibly balanced finish! There must be a lot of malt added to balance such a hoppy treat! Fabulous! This is Amsterdam?

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml bottle, 7.1% a/v
Pours hazy copper color with a thin bubbly off white head. Aroma is citrusy, grassy and generally fresh hops. Taste is very hoppy, heavy citrus and pine with a bit of grassiness. Just enough caramel depth from the malt to back it up. Palate is very bitter from the hops, you will love it or hate it. Overall, I love it and cant say so enough! Great work Jamie!
