3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy yellow with a medium beige collar. The aroma of hops a bit fruity. The taste is hop. Perhaps this is a bit fruity, but rather bitter from start to finish. The palate is a bit creamy for an IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 Pours a nice strong golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is fruity with pears dominating. Some light grassy notes. Taste is sweet and bitter with sweetness winning by an inch maybe. Flavors of fruits again, tropical with some pine accents. Litchees and pear is what I would describe them as. Pretty unique flavor profile. Bitter finish lingers for a long time. Mouthfeel is a little sticky, carbonation medium. Not sure how fresh this bottle was but it was still really tasty!

341 mL bottle. A little on the dark side for the style, not that that’s a problem. This one is alittle rough around the edges and/or unrefined. That’s okay, there are lots of refined IPA’s out there. You couldn’t drink more than a couple of theses in a sitting, though.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours old-penny brown with a light brown head that sticks around with some lacing. Smells of hops and pine. The taste has a lot going on with it. Definitely citrusy hops, apricot, and cam. Very nice creamy mouth feel, mildly bitter aftertaste. Might be my new hoppy beer of choice. Sorry Mad Tom, don’t be...uh...mad.

Taster, from the King & Portland flight at the brewery in Toronto. Cloudy gold-copper with a firm white head, aromas of tropical fruits, with a delicious fruits and pine taste and a tremendous bitterness that never gets nasty, but only classy. The mouthfeel is just as resinous as one would expect for a beer of this calibre. Great beer for a great place.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (355 ml). Extra from Andy, thanks! Clear golden/amber with a medium off-white and good lacing. Aroma is malt, tropical fruits, caramel and floral notes. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with caramel, tropical fruits, floral notes and light alcohol. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfeel and dry finish. Decent IPA. Quite drinkable at first, but it then become a bit harsh/heavy on alcohol after a couple of sip. Too much malt/caramel.
