3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
@ Ship in Hamilton. Ugly muddled burnt umber color, but nice head! lasting head...The aroma is kush forward! Rich intense hairy cannabis. Is light on the palate. Dangerously drinkable. Not too sweet. Refreshing but strong. I love how even tho it does have good malt body, there is no malt sweetness interfering.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355mL bottle to wine glass
Aroma of grapefruit, alcohol, and caramel and some pine. Nice amber colour with almost no head but lots of particulates floating around. Grapefruit is the beginning of this journey, which quickly jumps to strong bitterness, then to passion fruit and finally to a long bitter and astringent alcohol warmness. There is so much going on here that my glass was quickly emptying as I took sip after sip.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Medium orange amber, hazy, with a thick white head that holds well and laces the glass thickly. Aroma is very piney, some grapefruit too. Nice pine and white grapefruit hop load, with straw-like malt elements. Long bitterness. Another excellent Ontario IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a manuka honey orange colour with a short lived white head. The aroma is big on grapefruit and pine, with some candied orange bringing up the rear. The flavour has a decent amount of malt base line, leading into some candied orange, which then gives way to juicy grapefruit notes, and a piney finish. For sure the best offering from this brewery, would most likely buy again. Solid IPA.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Bettyís Toronto. Poured a clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma was strong pine and grapefruit. Pine taste was dominant at the front and back ends. Finish was exceptionally long and bitter with a distinctly astringent mouthfeel. Overall the pine dominance punched me in the face and was a little overpowering for my tastes.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
@ Ship Inn, Hamilton. Hazy amber with a thin head. Explosive piney earthy hop aroma. Moderately rich bitterness, light caramel and earthy, pithy hops. Nice work.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It pours a hazy auburn with amber highlights; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: burnt toffee, browned butter, resin, and pineapple. The taste is medium bitter that finishes dry and bitter; there are notes of: pineapple, pine resin, grapefruit, and a burnt biscuit note on the finish. The palate is medium bodied, low-medium carbonation, and a long finish. Overall, Iím thoroughly impressed by Amsterdam; usually they products are dismal at best. If they keep this up, I may consider taking an interest in them.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloak & Dagger, Toronto tap: Pours a copper color with a creamy white head. Aroma is really fruity, but also has a strong hoppy element. Taste is somewhat sweet, but the hops take the front seat. Body is pretty good. Carbonation is generally light.. The bitterness made this hard to swill, but this was a very good Canadian IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml brown bottle courtesy of wilco. 7.1% abv on label. Pours deep gold-orange, hazy. Full white head, thick lacing that coats the glass. Grapefruity nose with light pine and a bit of sweetness behind. Taste has a sweet malty base with some caramel, big grapefruit and pine hops, orange peel. Good bitterness, hoppy aftertaste featuring grapefruit, and orange zest. A trace of alcohol but nothing over the top. Medium body, carbonation is light to medium, nice smooth mouthfeel and very easy to drink. Had not heard of this brew before it arrived in a trade, I think itís a bit of a sleeper, a bit underrated. Solid IPA, impressed that Amsterdam has started making craft beer. They should continue in this direction.
